Chicago shooting, today: Man killed in East Garfield Park shooting in 300-block of S. Springfield Avenue, police say

Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting on the city's West Side on Thursday.

The shooting happened at about 8:13 a.m. in the 300-block of S. Springfield Avenue, Chicago police said.

A 38-year-old man was found in the street with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he died, according to police.

Nobody is in custody.

No other information was available.

Officials have no released any information regarding the victim.
