"This peaceful, visible action will call attention to the killing of Renee Nicole Good and the escalating abuses being carried out in our name," NWSOFA-Indivisible, which boasts over 5,000 members in five local townships, said about the rally. "We will gather as a community to demand accountability and to insist that every person's life and dignity be respected."

Good was shot and killed Wednesday morning while driving her Honda Pilot. Federal officials described the shooting as an act of self-defense, stating that the victim had "weaponized" her vehicle. City leaders and witnesses from the scene said it was a brazen act of murder.

"Renee was pure sunshine, pure love,"

Organizers for Sunday's local protest said President Donald Trump's "ill‑advised and incoherent foreign policies that are isolating the United States and turning America into a pariah on the world stage," will also be part of the rally. The protest is welcome to new volunteers, longtime activists, families, and community members who are just now getting engaged.

"Bring signs, friends, and your passion for justice. Dress for the weather and be prepared for a peaceful, nonviolent action," NWSOFA-Indivisible said. "Together, we can shine a light on injustice, build solidarity, and make it clear that our community rejects cruelty, impunity, and dangerous extremism in all its forms."
